Elizabeth Knudson, LPC

Elizabeth Knudson earned her Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as in Maryland. She also holds a Masters of Arts degree in College Student Development and Student Affairs from Appalachian State University and was an academic advisor for 10 years at: ASU, Western Carolina University, and the University of Maryland. She worked as a Juvenile Court Services Unit Therapist II at the Prince William County CSB and has worked as a Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist with the Fairfax County Public Schools for the past 5 years in Alexandria, VA. 

Elizabeth is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which she practiced intensively as an intern at the Whole Brain Solutions. She is passionate about helping clients understand the brain response to trauma and use the amazing power of the brain to begin healing and building neural pathways of resilience.
