My Story

I am a mental health professional dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating emotional and behavioral challenges. I utilize a strengths-based approach as well as focusing on building resilience and empowerment in individuals and families. I graduated from George Mason University (2018-2020) with a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Clinical Practice. I earned a Bachelor or Arts in Social Work, with a minor in Sociology, from Christopher Newport University (2014-2018).

I have a strong background in school-based mental health services, intensive care coordination, and trauma-informed practices. With experience in Fairfax County Public Schools and United Methodist Family Services, I have facilitated interventions, conducted mental health assessments, and provided clinical case management to diverse populations. My role as a liaison among families, schools, and community resources has honed my ability to create individualized plans that meet clients' unique needs. Some of my specialties include, but are not limited to, anxiety and stress management, trauma-informed care, behavioral support for children and teens, family communication and conflict resolution, transition planning, crisis intervention and body image concerns.

In working with clients I implement various modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness.  I have specialized training in trauma-informed practices and de-escalation techniques to ensure a holistic approach to care.

In addition to my work with Tranquil Mind Therapy, I am a School Social Worker in the Fairfax County Public School system. At times, life can feel overwhelming and reaching out for support is a courageous step.  I am here to walk alongside you in your journey. Together, we will work in a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and empowered to take meaningful steps toward healing and growth!

IN MY FREE TIME -

When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active by attending Orange Theory classes, diving into a good book, and exploring new music. I also love spending time with my rescue dog, Peanut, who keeps me grounded and brings so much joy to my life.
